Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date of the third season of its grandest fantasy series ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’. Also, the streaming giant has expressed its confidence in the show by renewing it for the fourth season.On the same day, the makers also renewed the show for its fourth season. However, the release date of season 4 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been kept under wraps as of now.

Prime Video confirms the release date of Season 3

Middle-earth fans finally get the release date they’ve been waiting for. During Amazon’s annual Upfront presentation, Prime Video confirmed that season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on November 11, 2026. With this announcement, the streaming giant also renewed the series for a fourth season, showing its continued confidence in one of its biggest global franchises.
According to Amazon MGM Studios, the series has attracted more than 185 million viewers worldwide and remains one of the highest-contributing shows to new Prime membership sign-ups on the platform.

Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the response to the fantasy drama and said this journey into Middle-earth continues to connect strongly with audiences around the world.
The series has become one of Prime Video’s most successful shows. Season 1 remains the biggest television premiere in the platform’s history, while Season 2 ranks in the top five most-watched returning seasons. The second season also debuted as the number one original series on Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 chart.
Critics have also responded positively to the show’s grand scale, visual effects, and cinematic storytelling, with both seasons receiving a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to reports, the story of Season 3 will take place several years after the events of Season 2 and will center on the war between the Elves and Sauron.
