Actor Saif Ali Khan described the film “Kartavya” as an engaging and well-crafted story with interesting characters and said that he got a chance to play one of the best characters of his life in the film. Directed by director Pulkit, best known for the film ‘Bhakshak’, this crime drama is the story of a police officer (Khan) who struggles to protect his family while performing his duty while facing increasing threats.
Khan (55) said in an interview with ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “I decided to work in ‘Kartavya’ because I liked its script very much. I think it’s a great drama and things are woven together in a very interesting way. I had never read a script like this before, and people who read it and discussed it at the time said it was one of the best roles I have played in my life.” The actor said ”Kartavya” has been shot like an international film, in which policeman Pawan is forced to take tough decisions. Khan also talked about the comparison between his role in the film “Kartavya” and his much-talked-about performance as Langra Tyagi in the 2006 film “Omkara”.
He said, “Omkara received a lot of appreciation in the Hindi speaking region. I think the sound (in the Call of Duty movie) might be a little similar to this; The tone may also be similar.” The film ”Kartavya” produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of ‘Red Chillies Entertainments’ will be released on Netflix on May 15. Other actors including Sanjay Mishra and Zakir Hussain will also be seen in it.
