Kannada actor Dilip Raj died of a heart attack at a hospital here on Wednesday morning. Sources related to the film industry gave this information. He was 47 years old. Raj, who has been associated with the Kannada film industry for more than two decades, was known for his acting in both small screen and cinema.

Recently he was seen playing the role of a lawyer in the Kannada film “Love Mocktail 3”. The actor gained widespread recognition for playing the villain in the 2005 film ‘Milna’ opposite late actor Puneet Rajkumar.

Raj, who started his career with television, made his big screen debut with the film “Boyfriend”. Over the years he has acted in many Kannada films including ‘Tony’, ‘Orchestra Mysuru’ and ‘U Turn’. Raj is survived by his wife and two children.
