Saif Ali Khan talks about ‘Duty’
Talking about the film, Saif Ali Khan said, “Pawan is a man who is constantly battling himself – he is always in a dilemma between what he feels is right, what is expected of him, and what he has to protect. What I liked most about ‘Kartavya’ is that it doesn’t give any easy answers; it puts you in difficult situations where you have to ask yourself: What do you do when every decision comes at a personal cost? Working with Pulkit and the entire cast for the first time has been a very exciting experience for me, with the audience connecting with this story on Netflix.”

Director Pulkit described ‘Kartavya’ as a story that moves forward in morally gray circumstances. He said, “‘Kartavya’ is a story that operates in the gray zone, where every decision comes at a cost and certainty is always just out of reach. We have tried to create a grounded and emotion-packed story that goes beyond the superficial layers of crime and explores the human struggle at its core. All the actors have brought tremendous depth to their characters, and Saif has shown great composure to a very complex character. The audience is forced to wonder what justice really means when personal stakes are involved.
This second association with Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix has been extremely fulfilling, and we are very excited to bring this story to audiences around the world.”
‘Kartavya’ will premiere on Netflix on May 15.
