Comedian Praneet More’s stand-up show is once again at the center of nationwide outrage after Gurugram’s “₹370 biryani” controversy. This time, a female doctor, who created controversy by making indecent comments on the private parts of male cadavers, has publicly apologized by releasing a video on social media. The doctor admitted that he had said “the very wrong thing” during the show and deeply regretted his actions.
After a clip of More’s show went viral on social media, this female doctor named Sejal Pawar started being criticized. During an interaction with the audience, Pawar talked about his experiences with anatomy and claimed that he and his fellow men used to compare the size of the private parts of dead bodies. The comment was made when More asked whether doctors are serious or joking while conducting post-mortems. Responding to the criticism, Pawar said she wanted to publicly admit her mistake and apologise.
“I just wanted to come out here and say that I’m so sorry. I said the wrong thing. I’m so sorry,” she said in the video message. She added, “I never consciously thought that I would say that.”
Pawar said she never intended to present her comments that way and stressed that she was not trying to “justify” what she said. He acknowledged that the comment was inappropriate and said he regretted making it.
Pawar said the clip that went viral was recorded during the first stand-up comedy show he watched about two months ago. Additionally, Pawar said that she was “very naïve” and had no idea that a small part of the conversation would be viewed in isolation and receive so much criticism. However, she stressed that she was not trying to justify her actions and accepted responsibility for her comments. “I had no idea that a two-month-old clip would become such a big issue,” he said. She added, “I will never justify it. I know it’s my fault.”

He further claimed that during the conversation he had emphasized that he and his colleagues respected the bodies, but believed that a particular comment should never have been made. Pawar also promised to be more careful about his public statements in future. She said that social media users were right to question inappropriate behavior and said that she wanted to ensure that her name was never associated with such comments in future.
In his apology he said he was sorry for hurting people’s sentiments: “If I hurt your sentiments, I’m sorry.” After Pawar’s clip from the comedy show went viral, many viewers called these comments insensitive and disrespectful towards body donors.

Sejal Pawar’s comments are the second such incident in Pranit More’s show which has drawn sharp reaction from the audience. The controversy follows the viral “₹370 biryani” episode involving Gurugram resident Himanshu Jangra; Her comments about expecting to “get something back” after paying for a date sparked a national debate over misogyny, consent and entitlement, and ultimately cost her her job.
