The makers of Cocktail 2 have released Bandhu 2.0, a new version of the superhit and iconic song Tumhiin Ho Bandhu from the original film. As soon as the song came out, people immediately started giving their feedback on it on social media. While some fans are loving the new trio of Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna and their high-energy vibe, some nostalgic people seem to be a little unhappy with this remake.
There was already a fear of trolling, the joke was made in the video
The interesting thing is that the makers of the film were already aware of this online trolling. In the promotional video of the song, Shahid Kapoor himself was seen jokingly saying that one should avoid recreating any iconic song, because doing so is sure to lead to trolling. Exactly the same thing happened, as soon as this song came on online platforms, memes and debate started on social media regarding its remake.

The film is releasing on 19th June
The story and screenplay of Cocktail 2 has been co-written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. The film is all set to release in theaters this week on June 19, 2026. Now it remains to be seen how much this new trio is able to win the hearts of the audience in theatres.
