Actor Shalin Bhanot narrated her experience after divorce from Daljeet Kaur. The two were married in 2009, which ended in domestic violence allegations and divorce in 2015. After this, Shalin Bhanot was completely mentally broken. Left Mumbai and went to his hometown Jabalpur. Even when Shalin got a new TV show, no one in Mumbai was ready to give her a house on rent due to her divorce. He stayed with his assistant director. Today both of them have forgotten their bitterness and are co-parenting their son.
New Delhi: TV actor Shalin Bhanot is often in the news for her acting and dashing looks. But there was also a period in his real life which was very painful and full of darkness. Shalin recently spoke openly about his divorce from his ex-wife Daljeet Kaur and the most difficult time of his life after that. Shalin recalled her troubles of that period during a conversation in a talk show named ‘Aabra Ka Dabra’. He told that after the breakdown of his marriage, his heart and mind were so shattered that he started feeling that his life was completely over. Shalin told that after separation from Daljeet, people started taking more interest in her personal life than her work. The judgments coming from all sides, the taunts of the people and the constant attention of the media had left him helpless from within. When the show’s host Paras Chhabra asked him why he did not have a house to live in even after working in a city like Mumbai? On this Shalin told a bitter truth. He told that after the divorce, when he started looking for a house on rent in areas like Lokhandwala of Mumbai, people used to flatly refuse to give him the house just after hearing about his separation (divorce). This attitude of the society and the landlords was quite surprising for him.

Shalin claimed that he was even ready to pay more money than the fixed rent to the landlords, so that he could get a place to hide his head, but still people used to reject him after seeing the controversies in his personal life. If we talk about the love story of Shalin and Daljeet, both of them first met on the sets of the TV serial ‘Kulvadhu’. From here the closeness between the two increased and they started dating each other. In the year 2009, both of them got married with great pomp and in the year 2014, a lovely son was born to them. But this happiness could not last long.

Shortly after the marriage, discord and domestic disputes started between the two. In the year 2015, Daljeet filed a divorce petition in the court and made many serious allegations against Shalin like domestic violence, although Shalin always denied these allegations. Eventually, in the same year, both of them legally separated and the court handed over the custody of the son to Daljeet. Today, both of them have forgotten their old bitterness and are co-parenting their son and have moved forward in their respective lives.
