Veteran actor Alok Nath gained a lot of popularity in the role of father in Hindi films and because of these roles, he also got the tag of “Sanskari Babuji” of Bollywood. However, he disappeared from Bollywood after many women took his name during the Me Too movement in 2018. He was rarely seen in public. Now Alok Nath’s childhood friend and actor Rajesh Puri recently revealed that the Me Too controversy had a deep impact on Alok Nath’s life.
Where has Alok Nath been missing for years?
Actually, Rajesh Puri recently talked about Alok Nath in an interview given to Siddharth Kanan and told that the senior actor has distanced himself from the film industry. He also told that Alok Nath is now living a quiet and secluded life and rarely leaves the house. He said, “When Alok Nath was accused of MeToo, everyone was shocked because he was known as a ‘cultured’ actor. After the allegations, he isolated himself completely. He has almost disappeared from the industry and mostly stays in his home.”

Alok Nath used to drink dangerously badly
Reminiscing about Alok Nath’s journey, Rajesh admits that his old friend may have made mistakes, yet he believes that despite everything, Alok is actually a kind and good-hearted person. He said, “Alok is a very pure-hearted person. Now he has completely changed. He doesn’t even drink alcohol anymore. He is a very loving person, but there were two things about him. One, he could not tolerate anything that would upset him, and second, alcohol. He used to drink alcohol very dangerously, and it affected him.”
Alok Nath has decided to stay away from acting
Rajesh further said that he never saw Alok Nath misbehave during the shooting of films when they worked together, however, he said that the actor’s behavior would change after drinking alcohol. He said he would become “very aggressive and uncontrollable”. Rajesh also told that Alok Nath has decided to stay away from acting and now he rarely interacts with people. He further said, “I tell them, ‘Come home, let’s meet at our farmhouse.’ But he just avoids it. Sometimes he talks very nicely on the phone, but often he feels that a good talent is being wasted, he does not accept offers and says that he works from home. I don’t think he’s doing much work right now because he’s very hurt.”
Alok Nath has become civil
Rajesh further said that Alok Nath has turned towards spirituality in recent years and is looking for peace and guidance in this phase of life. He said, “Whatever happened, happened. There is no smoke without fire. He is sorry, and whatever happened was not good. Now he does not want to face anyone. We both believe in a Guru, and Alok had also started believing in him. He came under the Guru’s guidance, but even when the satsang took place, he did not come.”
