Just before the release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) upcoming film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, a recent statement by Tom Holland has created a stir among Marvel fans around the world. Tom Holland has expressed his strong desire to make the character of ‘Miles Morales’ a part of the franchise in live-action films. Although no official announcement has been made by Marvel Studios yet, Holland’s statements have fueled speculation that the two Spider-Men may soon be seen together on screen.
In an interview with ‘Hobby Consoles’, Holland stressed that bringing Miles Morales into the MCU is one of his main desires, adding that there is still more work to be done before that happens. His statements have reignited interest in the character’s live-action future as the Spider-Man franchise continues to move forward.
Holland said, “My desire is to bring Miles Morales into this universe. We still have a lot of work to do to make it a reality. But I’m very excited about it.”
Marvel Studios has not yet said when Miles Morales might appear in live-action. Still, Holland’s statements have reignited speculation about the character’s future in the MCU. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will continue the story of Peter Parker following ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, with Peter now living alone in New York after he decided to erase himself from the memories of those closest to him.
While juggling his responsibilities as a full-time superhero and his personal life, Peter begins to notice mysterious changes in his body. Because of this, he faces an unexpected personal challenge and a new threat in the city.
Miles Morales was introduced in 2011 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, and first appeared in ‘Ultimate Comics Fallout #4′. The character later gained popularity through the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse animated films and Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is the fourth standalone Spider-Man film in the MCU. Holland plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Joining them are Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role.
The film will be released in India on July 30, 2026, a day before its worldwide theatrical release date (July 31, 2026).
