Manoj Bajpayee was born on April 23, 1969 in a small village Belwa in Bihar. ‘Satya’
Manoj Bajpayee started his acting career with the TV serial ‘Swabhiman’ aired on Doordarshan. Shekhar Kapur gave him his first opportunity in films. Manoj started his film career in 1994 with Shekhar Kapur’s film ‘Bandit Queen’, but he got recognition from Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Satya’ (1998). In this film he played the role of Bhiku Mhatre. Manoj received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1999 for the film ‘Satya’.

Manoj Bajpayee received the second National Film Award in the year 2004, which was given to him for the film ‘Pinjar’. Because of this role, Manoj’s identity as a serious and powerful actor became even stronger.

‘Bhonsale’
Manoj Bajpayee received the third National Film Award as Best Actor for the film ‘Bhonsle’ in the year 2021. This film was released on SonyLIV on June 26, 2020 and Manoj played the role of Ganpat Bhosle in it. His performance was highly appreciated by the critics.
