Reema reprimanded Aamir
Recently, Aamir Khan told in a conversation with Just Two Filmy that there were a lot of actors in Lagaan and Reema was the second assistant director. He had to plan everyone’s timing, who would come when, who would have breakfast when. There was 15 minutes time for breakfast and I eat slowly and do everything slowly, so I asked them to call me 15 minutes before. On this he scolded me and said, ‘The entire hair and makeup team will not come 15 minutes earlier for you.’
Aamir got tired within a week
Aamir further said, ‘I am a producer and she is scolding me.’ After this he told Reema that it takes time. So Reema said, ‘I don’t care, you have to come on time.’ I felt bad after hearing what he said, so I said angrily, ‘Now I will not have breakfast.’ Then Reema also says strictly, ‘Very good, then you will be ready on time.’ After a week I got tired and started having breakfast there again.

Apoorva Lakhia also narrated the story
Once with Friday Talkies, Assistant Director Apoorva Lakhia had also told that the time restriction on the sets of Lagaan was so much that if someone was late, he could even be dropped. One day Aamir Khan himself was late and the bus was about to leave on time. Apoorva hesitantly asked the driver to drive the bus. At that time Ronit Roy was standing at the door waiting for Aamir. But he was late and the bus had already left. Later Apoorva felt that he would fire her from the job, but that did not happen.
Lagaan received many awards
Let us tell you that Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Lagaan, released in 2001, is counted among the most special films of Indian cinema. This film not only won the hearts of the audience but also gained recognition at the international level.
