Famous Hollywood actor, writer and director John Krasinski is in the news these days for his much-awaited spy action film ‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’. During the promotion of his film, Krasinski has praised Indian cinema and Bollywood. He has described Indian filmmaking as one of the “finest filmmaking” in the world.
What did John Krasinski say about ‘Dhurandhar’ and Ranveer Singh?
During an interview, when John Krasinski was asked in the context of Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi—who despite being a common man risks his life for the country—if he had seen Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster film ‘Dhurandhar’?
Responding to this, Krasinski said: “I haven’t seen the film yet. But as far as Indian films go, they are an example of our best filmmaking. I know many of my Hollywood filmmaker friends who direct films, and they are always amazed by the cinema and work coming out of India.”

Krasinski, who became popular globally as ‘Jim Halpert’ of ‘The Office’ series, further expressed his desire and said that if he gets a chance, he would definitely like to watch Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’. He said that it is always inspiring to see the excellent work of other countries.
The Art of Writing and the ‘End Credits’ Formula
‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’ co-producer and co-writer John Krasinski also shared his unique way of writing. He told that he had been weaving the idea of this film in his mind for a long time, especially when he was working on ‘Fountain of Youth’ with famous director Guy Ritchie.

According to Krasinski, he thinks about the story every day, but he only sits down to write the actual script when he can clearly see the film’s ‘end credits’ playing in his mind.
