Siddharth Gupta on debuting in films with ‘Krishnavataram’
Siddharth Gupta stood in front of ‘Krishnavataram’ in Mumbai and penned a long note, in which he recounted the heartbreaking moments and struggles he faced over the years until fate finally turned on his side. He wrote, “For years, this city knew me only as a man who waited.

Waiting for phone calls that never came. Waiting for the day when my hard work will finally get a chance. There were many moments when I questioned everything. Moments when it would have been easier to just leave everything behind. Moments when my dream seemed bigger than my reality. But somewhere, deep in my heart, I did not lose courage. I kept my faith in the fact that if I keep trying, keep working, and trust the process even when nothing makes sense… one day, life will respond.”

He continued, “Today, after spending more than a decade in Mumbai, I stood in front of the poster of my own film and just stared at it for a while. Not because my face was on it. But because behind it lay every year that no one saw. Every rejection, every heartbreak, every silent prayer, and every moment when I chose trust over fear. And God knows how, all the stories they chose me to tell. I could have been chosen to play the role of Krishna. It means more to me than words can express.”
Concluding his speech he said“Whatever happens next, this moment is a victory in itself. Because some dreams don’t come true all at once. They test you. They hone you. And then one day, they stand before you on a billboard in the same city where you once wondered if you even belonged here. I’m thankful. For that wait. For that struggle. For that faith. Jai Shri Krishna.
Siddharth Gupta was also a part of the 2014 film ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’.
