What period is the story about?

Talking about the story of ‘Summer of 77’, it is based on the Emergency period from 1975 to 1977. This series has eight episodes, which will show the audience the thinking of the youth of that era, their rebellion, their dreams and their search for identity.

Swanand’s talk about music

Swanand said, “After my previous film ‘Bandwale’, I was looking for a project in which music would be a part of the story. ‘Summer of 77’ gave this opportunity. It is not easy to make music for such a story, because it is important to capture the spirit of that period. This series is the story of that era, where music, poetry and expression played a big role in becoming the voice of the people. I have composed a total of six songs for this series, out of which I have given my voice to three songs myself.
