Nearly five years after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the CBI has closed two cases related to him. The CBI on Sunday filed separate closure reports in cases related to the actor. One case is related to the abetment of suicide registered by his father and the second case is related to the actor’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, which he filed against Sushant’s sisters.
The CBI filed a closure report before a special court in Patna in the case filed by Sushant’s father KK Singh, while the closure report in another case was presented before a special court in Mumbai. The above officials said that now the courts will decide whether the report should be accepted or the agency should be ordered further investigation.
Closeer report in two separate cases
The CBI investigated two separate cases. There was a case filed by a KK Singh in Patna Police, alleging that Chakraborty of abetment to suicide and withdraws Rs 15 crore from the actor’s accounts. The second case was filed by Chakravarti in Bandra, in which Sushant’s sisters have been accused of giving them medicines on the basis of fake prescriptions issued by a doctor from Delhi.

What is in the CBI’s closure report?
In the case taken before the Bandra police and later an investigation by the CBI, Riya alleged that Sushant had died five days after these drugs were given incorrectly. Officials said that on the basis of experts’ opinion, crime site analysis, statements of witnesses and forensic reports, the CBI came to the conclusion that there is no evidence to prove the allegation that someone would have forced the actor to commit suicide.

Actress Riya Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has expressed happiness over the CBI closure report. He appreciated the closure report and thanked the CBI for ‘intensive investigation of every aspect of the case from all angles’.
Sushant died five years ago
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the noose on 14 June 2020 in his flat in Bandra, Mumbai. He was 34 years old. The post -mortem at Cooper Hospital concluded that the actor died due to suffocation.
