The high-voltage drama that has been going on between superstar Ranveer Singh and ‘Federation of Western India Cine Employees’ (FWICE) regarding the film ‘Don 3’ for some time now seems to be getting resolved. Taking a big decision, the Film Workers Body (FWICE) has officially withdrawn the ‘Non-Cooperation Directive’ issued against actor Ranveer Singh. This step can prove to be a milestone towards ending a major impasse in the entertainment world.
In a press release issued on June 3, FWICE explained that the decision was taken after several rounds of talks and deliberations, as well as the intervention of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA). The federation said it believes that to maintain coordination and unity in the entertainment world, the matter should now be resolved “by mutual consent”.

Announcing the withdrawal of this directive with immediate effect, FWICE said that disputes within the industry should be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding rather than long-running fights. “The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has withdrawn its stand of non-cooperation against actor Ranveer Singh,” the organization said.
The organization also informed that talks are still ongoing with different producer bodies on this matter. Also, she appealed to the actors to join efforts to resolve this issue. FWICE said, “We humbly appeal to Ranveer Singh to cooperate in resolving this issue.”

This new development comes just a day after Ranveer Singh sent a legal notice to the film workers body. In that notice, Ranveer had demanded withdrawal of the non-cooperation instructions issued against him. Speaking to the media, FWICE Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit confirmed that the federation has received the legal notice and they will respond to it through appropriate legal channels. “We received the legal letter yesterday requesting us to lift the non-cooperation directive,” Pandit said.
He further said, “We appeal to Ranveer to come, sit with us and find a solution. We respect his stardom… We do not have the right to ban anyone. We hope to get a positive response from Ranveer.”
FWICE also made it clear that it will respond to Ranveer Singh’s legal notice only under proper legal procedure. In its official statement, the federation thanked IMPPA for its intervention and efforts in helping resolve the matter. Also, it was emphasized that the film industry progresses only through mutual respect, cooperation and solidarity among all its stakeholders. This controversy started after Ranveer Singh’s exit from Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Don 3’, due to which FWICE eventually issued a ‘non-cooperation’ direction against the actor. The issue has sparked a debate within the film industry, and over the past few weeks many celebrities and industry insiders have expressed their opinions on the matter.
