On the special occasion of the birthday of former Indian cricket team captain and veteran cricketer Sourav Ganguly, on Wednesday (July 8), the first look poster of actor Rajkumar Rao from his much-awaited biopic ‘Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story’ was released. Along with this poster, the makers have also announced the official release date of the film, which has increased the excitement among cricket and cinema lovers.

While mixed reactions of fans are being seen on social media regarding this first look, ‘Dada’ i.e. Sourav Ganguly himself was very impressed with this look of Rajkumar Rao and his transformation. Ganguly praised the actor, saying that Rajkumar had indeed done an “incredible job”.
That historic moment of Lord’s balcony became fresh
By sharing a video on his Instagram account, Sourav Ganguly thanked the fans for the birthday wishes received from the country and the world and also reacted to the first look of his biopic. In the video he said:“Thank you all very much for these genuine birthday wishes. It makes me extremely emotional to receive so much love from the entire country and the world year after year. Today the first look of my biopic has also been launched. Rajkumar, I think he has done an amazing job. It is even more special for me because this look takes me back to the 2002 NatWest Final and that historic moment on the Lord’s Balcony, which Rajkumar and The film crew has recreated it beautifully.”

When will ‘Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story’ be released?
This film, which depicts the journey of Sourav Ganguly, one of the most aggressive captains in the cricket world, will hit the theaters next year on May 14, 2027. While sharing the first look poster of the film, Rajkummar Rao also wrote in the caption, “Wishing our dear grandfather a very happy birthday. @souravganguly”
