Riteish Deshmukh’s much awaited film ‘Raja Shivaji’ was released in theaters on May 1 in Marathi and Hindi languages. Ritesh not only played the lead role in this film but also directed it. Starring powerful actors like Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree and Genelia D’Souza, this film is a perfect blend of grandeur and star power. Superstar Salman Khan’s cameo in this film is also quite impressive.

Now it has reached the 7th position in the list of all time top 10 highest grossing Marathi films in India by defeating the film Krantijyoti Vidyalaya Marathi ‘Madhyam’ (28 crores), Timepass (30 crores) and Thackeray (31.6 crores). In just three days this is a historic achievement for Marathi language films.
