Actor Ram Charan’s film ‘Peddi’ has performed brilliantly at the global box office, earning more than Rs 315 crore in five days. Directed by director Buchi Sana, this film was released in theaters on June 4. The film stars Shiv Rajkumar, Jhanvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu and Boman Irani in lead roles along with Ram Charan. Film production company Vriddhi Cinemas on Tuesday shared the box office figures through its official ‘X’ account. According to the information, the film earned a grand total of Rs 135.36 crore on the first day.

Its collection reached Rs 236.7 crore in the opening weekend. The film’s total global earnings in five days have crossed Rs 315 crore. The makers wrote in their post, “Box office champion ‘Peddi’ continues to dominate. The film has made a worldwide business of over Rs 315 crore in just five days. ‘Peddi’ is now releasing in theatres.” Set in the rural 1980s of Andhra Pradesh, ‘Peddi’ is an inspiring story of a lower caste youth who takes up the path of wrestling to bring recognition and respect to his community.

The film is produced by Venkat Sathish Kilaru under the banner Vriddhi Cinemas, while Ishaan Saxena has co-produced it under IV Entertainment. The music of this film was composed by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman has prepared.
