The news of separation of famous Bollywood and television industry actress Mouni Roy and her husband Sooraj Nambiar has created a stir everywhere these days. After four years of marriage, the couple has finally decided to separate with mutual consent. However, since this official announcement, various speculations and claims were being made on social media and in some sections of the media. In some reports, it was said that Mouni Roy had asked for huge alimony, while in some it was suspected that some “third party” was behind this divorce. Suraj Nambiar, who was silent till now on these continuously increasing rumours, has broken his silence. By sharing a long and strong note on Instagram, he has termed all these claims as completely ‘baseless’ and fabricated.

Tagging Mouni on his Instagram story, Sooraj Nambiar wrote, “The recent baseless reports regarding our separation are extremely misrepresented and completely malicious. I want to clear the truth once and for all. There is no alimony. There is no dispute. There is no third person involved. Mouni and I have decided to separate together, out of mutual respect and keeping each other’s well-being in mind.” That’s the truth. Whatever else is being reported is a fabrication, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to discredit two people who have done nothing but leave them alone.”
he adds“I want to say this clearly and for the final time: There is no truth in any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third person. It is not a good idea to drag other people into this, especially our innocent friends who had nothing to do with it. Both Mouni and I have behaved with utmost dignity during this difficult time, and we hope that those who are reporting on this will do the same with us. Will maintain the same dignity. The media houses have fabricated such stories which do not exist, which is sheer injustice. I am saying this clearly, because I am not willing to remain silent in the face of false information being spread.

He concluded by saying, “Our joint statement said everything that needed to be said. I request everyone to respect that statement and allow both of us to move forward with our lives in peace.”
On Thursday evening, Mouni Roy and Sooraj Nambiar shared a statement on Instagram, which read, “We are disappointed to see the unnecessary and intrusive attention being paid to our personal lives by certain sections of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to separate and are taking the necessary time to resolve the matter privately and amicably. Attempts have been made to sensationalize our personal lives by creating fabricated stories and Gross falsehoods have been spread which do not reflect the truth of our relationship.”
It further added, “After thoughtful consideration of changing personal priorities, we have mutually decided to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding. At this time, we are focused on handling this period thoughtfully and privately. We will strive to cherish our friendship in the times to come. We deeply appreciate your understanding, respect for our privacy, and the continued support you have given us during this time. Mouni And the sun.”
Mouni Roy and Sooraj Nambiar met in a club. They got married on January 27, 2022, and separated in 2026.
