Let us tell you that Nita Ambani flaunted the traditional saree of West Bengal at the Time Summit in New York. This saree of hers was woven by Padma Shri awardee Biren Kumar Basak in 24 months in Phulia, West Bengal. Swadesh’s Instagram handle states, “Made in fine Meenakari Jamdani, this saree showcases tribal motifs, figurative storytelling and an auspicious fish border, each element woven with great depth.” This six-yard saree is an extraordinary expression of Bengal textile heritage. It is available in beautiful cream colour.

The pallu of the saree also tells a story and in this traditional scenes, human figures, animals and leaves were created. Every detail is carved with jewel like precision.

Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani is also known for her magnificent jewelery collection, which includes emeralds, diamonds, precious pearls and rare stones. This time she wore a three-strand pearl necklace from her collection. She accessorised it beautifully with emerald and diamond earrings, a matching ring (which was studded with a huge emerald), pearl and emerald bangles and a stunning watch studded with precious stones.
