This film is based on the story of a coal mine of 1989. Akshay is seen in the role of Jaswant Singh Gill in the film. Jaswant Singh had saved the lives of more than six dozen laborers simultaneously. The film is based on a true incident, which is getting mixed response from the audience and critics. Good reviews are coming about the film on social media platform X handle. Along with ‘Mission Raniganj’, Bhumi Pednekar’s film ‘Thanks for Coming’ and Rajveer Deol’s film ‘Dono’ have also been released.
First day’s earning of so many crores
Let us tell you that before this Akshay Kumar’s film ‘OMG 2’ was released. The audience gave a lot of love to this film. This film was based on adult education. At the same time, now the box office collection of the first day of ‘Mission Raniganj’ has also been revealed. This film is facing tough competition from Bhoomi and Rajveer’s film. Considering the craze there was among the audience regarding ‘Mission Raniganj’, it was expected that the film could take a good opening. According to Sacknilk’s report, Akshay’s film has earned Rs 2.8 crore on the first day.
Mission Raniganj’s collection was less than expected
‘Mission Raniganj’ has earned much less than expected. Made on a big budget, the collection of this film has been just so much. In fact, on 13 November 1989, during the blasting of coal mines in Raniganj’s Mahabir mine, a crack appeared on the wall of the water table. Due to which water started flowing rapidly into these cracks. Of the 220 people working there, six died. Those who were near the lift were quickly pulled out. Despite this, 65 laborers remained stranded there. Jaswant Singh Gill was there as Additional Chief Mining Director at the time of this accident. He saved the lives of 65 labourers.
