Actor Rohit Chandel, who has worked in famous TV serials like Kashibai Bajirao Ballal and Pandya Store, has accepted the allegations of stalking and molesting one of his minor (16 year old) co-stars. In this case, Ghatkopar police of Mumbai took action and arrested him. The minor victim had made serious allegations against the actor of continuously stalking, harassing and assaulting her.
What did the police officer say on the matter?
On the complaint of a minor girl, the police have registered a case against Rohit Chandel under strict sections of the POCSO Act and the Indian Justice Code.
Senior PI Vitthal Laxman Ardekar said that the accused was arrested and presented in the court, from where he has been sent to jail. He was stalking the girl and is currently in judicial custody. It entirely depends on the court for how long he will be kept in custody. Rohit has not denied these things. He admitted that he used to go to meet the girl. The girl is a minor and has worked with him. The girl says that he was pressurizing her. The accused lives in Dahisar area and used to commute to Ghatkopar from there. Even after blocking the girl, he kept calling her continuously.

Minor co-star made many serious allegations
The victim girl told the police that she had blocked Rohit Chandel’s number and had clearly forbidden him from talking. Despite this, Rohit was continuously harassing her by calling her from different new numbers. The girl also alleged that on July 5, Rohit forcibly stopped her under the building of her house, followed her, quarreled with her, abused her and also assaulted her.

Case registered under these sections
Taking this matter seriously, the police have registered a case against Rohit Chandel under the POCSO Act as well as Section 78 (stalking/stalking) and Section 115(2) (intentionally causing hurt) of the Indian Justice Code. At present the police is investigating this entire matter closely.
