Manoj Bajpayee was born on 23 April 1969 in Belwa, Bihar. His father was a farmer and the financial condition of the family was not very good. Manoj’s father wanted him to become a doctor. For this reason, he sent Manoj to a hostel when he was just 7 years old. But fate had something else in store.
Manoj wanted to become an actor
But Manoj’s first dream was to become an actor. Since no one in the family was related to the industry, he had to roll a lot of papads in the beginning. But he did not give up. However, after 12th, he went to Delhi and took admission in Delhi University. He also started doing street theater on the side. When he gave the NSD exam for the first time after completing his graduation, he failed. Due to failure, he had suicidal thoughts. Manoj Bajpayee got his first film by luck. Actually, during the rehearsal, Tigmanshu Dhulia came to him and told that Shekhar Kapur wanted to meet him. Shekhar wanted to meet Manoj in connection with ‘Bandin’ Queen’. After this meeting, he was offered the role of Vikram Mallah in the film, but that role went to Nirmal Pandey.
