Katrina Kaif is a ‘superhero’, I am just a cheerleader, Vicky Kaushal expressed the magical feeling of becoming a father.

One of Bollywood’s most loved couples, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, are enjoying the most beautiful journey of their lives these days. After welcoming his son Vihaan in November 2025, Vicky Kaushal has opened up for the first time on parenthood and his wife Katrina’s ‘Warrior’ avatar.

 

Vicky has saluted Katrina’s spirit by calling her a “warrior mother”. Recently, during a conversation with Neha Dhupia at an event of ‘The Hollywood Reporter India’, Vicky Kaushal could not contain his emotions. When he was asked how he felt as a new father, he gave all the credit to Katrina.

 

In conversation with Neha Dhupia at The Hollywood Reporter India event, Kaushal was asked, “How does it feel to be a brand new father?”

Kaushal said, “He is three months old now, there is very little a father has to do when a child is three months old, I am just trying to be a cheerleader, and I am waiting for him to grow up so that I can contribute more.”

 

During this time, he praised Katrina Kaif’s role and said, “Right now, mother (Katrina) is becoming a superhero, and she has been a warrior during her pregnancy, and she has also been a warrior as a mother. I am very proud of her and I love her very much.”

Earlier, Kaushal had described becoming a father as a transformative experience. He said, “Becoming a father this year is my biggest moment of 2025. It’s a magical feeling. I always thought that when the time came, I would be very emotional and happy, but it has actually been the most grounding moment of my life.” Announcing Vihaan’s birth, the couple wrote a message: “Our ray of light. Vihaan Kaushal. Prayers answered. Life is beautiful. Our world changed in an instant, thank you beyond words,” which shows their joy at becoming parents.

While Katrina has taken a break from work, Vicky Kaushal continues shooting for his films.
