Director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious and much awaited film ‘Ramayana’ has been in the news ever since its announcement. The recently released teaser of the film gave goosebumps to the audience by showing Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and rocking star Yash as Ravana. Now veteran actress Kajal Aggarwal, who is playing the important role of ‘Mandodari’ in this epic film, has made big revelations about the grand nature of the film and its making. According to a report in ‘Variety India’, Kajal Aggarwal shared that her experience of working on ‘Ramayana’ has been completely different and unique compared to all the projects she has done in her career so far.

What did Kajal Aggarwal say about ‘Ramayana’?
Kajal opened up about working on the film and said that the technique of film making and the emotions associated with this project are very special for the entire team.
Kajal said, ‘It was a completely new experience because amazing technology has been used in the film. Such a film has never been made before in India. As artists, we too are doing something like this for the first time. This is our country’s own story, so it is very close to our hearts.

Kajal’s character in ‘Ramayana’
Kajal Aggarwal is playing the role of Ravana’s wife Mandodari in the film ‘Ramayana’. His words have further increased the curiosity of the audience about the film. It is considered to be one of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema. This film is being made in two parts and is considered to be the most expensive Indian film till date.
Budget of ‘Ramayana’
According to media reports, the production cost of both parts of ‘Ramayana’ is estimated to be around Rs 4,000 crore. With this budget, it has joined the list of most expensive films in the world. Producer of the film Namit Malhotra says that this film is being made to compete with big Hollywood films like ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Avatar’, so that it can be liked globally.
The makers have decided to release the film in two parts: the first part of ‘Ramayana’ will be released in Diwali 2026 and the second part in Diwali 2027.
