Jaat Box Office Collection: Sunny Deol made his debut in the South Indian cinema industry with the film ‘Jat’. Starring Randeep Hooda, this action film ‘Gadar 2’ could not live up to the expectations.

Entertainment Desk, Indore (Jaat box office collection day-1, Sunny Deol’s film ‘Jat’ could not get success like ‘Gadar 2’. Sunny Deol was expecting another big hit from this film, which disappointed. This action film earned Rs 9.50 crore ((Jaat Box Office Collection Day-1) on the first day of its release, which is a good amount, but it is nothing compared to the actor’s previous film.
Gadar-2 earned Rs 40 crore in India in 2023 on its first day. Jat on Thursday earned Rs 9.5 crore with a total Hindi occupancy rate of 14.28%. Chennai and Jaipur were the best figures.
A large number of audiences were expected to come from the film’s actors and dramatic action scenes, but the initial signs are not as expected.
‘Jat’ vs ‘Gadar 2’ box office
The recent Pan-India action blockbuster films like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Alexander’ were seen as a response to Sunny Deol. It was financed by mythology movie makers, which is a company known for its blockbuster films.
According to the report, this film, with a budget of Rs 100 crore, was shown on around 5,500 screens across India. ‘Gadar 2’ was a big hit with Rs 40 crore on its first day and Rs 691 crore for its entire performance. Currently, ‘Jat’ is the fourth largest Bollywood opener of 2025. It overtook ‘Deva’ (Rs 5.25 crore), although it is behind ‘Chhava’ (Rs 29 crore), ‘Sikander’ (Rs 26 crore) and ‘Sky Force’ (Rs 11 crore).
