Why was the film not released for 25 years?
‘The Last Tenant’ could not be released for almost two decades because its original footage was lost. Later, director Sarthak Dasgupta got a VHS (Video Home System) copy of it, after which it was remade and released. This film was also the directorial debut of Sarthak Dasgupta. Later he directed films like ‘The Music Teacher’ and ‘200 Halla Ho’. He has also made the web series ‘Dharavi Bank’.

what is the story of the movie
The story of the film revolves around a broke musician who comes to live in an empty house before leaving the country. There, memories, music and emotions slowly start merging with each other around him, but as the story progresses, things do not go as per his plan. This film also stars actors like Anu Khandelwal, Saurabh Aggarwal, Sabyasachi, Satish Kalra and Anand Mishra. Even though the film is not completely polished, it shows the excellent acting of both the actors.
