While talking to Hindustani Times recently, Mumtaz said, ‘I had gone to meet Asha Bhosle in her last moments. When I heard that he was admitted to the hospital, I wanted to talk to him. But couldn’t. Because the doctors told that his condition was quite critical. As soon as I came back from the hospital, after some time his family called and informed about his death.
Mumtaz says, ‘The very next day I went to meet her at her house and when I saw Aashi ji, I saw light on her face.’
