South cinema’s superstar actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu had been in the news for some time due to speculations about her pregnancy. Now the actress herself has put an end to all these rumors and shared a big good news. Samantha has officially confirmed that she and her husband and famous filmmaker Raj Nidimoru are soon going to become parents to their first child. Samantha made this special announcement during the success meet of her recent release Telugu film ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ held in Hyderabad. During this, she also shared with the fans her plan to take a break from work and go on maternity leave in the coming days.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu confirms her pregnancy
During the success meet of ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ held in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu addressed the ongoing speculations and confirmed her pregnancy. She said, “Sorry guys, one more short break and then I’ll be back. I know I have to take maternity leave now. But I’m very happy.” It became clear from her statement that due to preparations to become a mother, she would stay away from work for some time.
Earlier, ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ director Nandini Reddy had confirmed the ongoing speculations about Samantha’s pregnancy. Speaking to Cinema Express, Nandini said, “Given the success of our film ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’, the news of her pregnancy has come at a very good time.”

Telugu action drama ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ was released in theaters on June 19, 2026, competing against Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Bollywood film ‘Cocktail 2’.
