Posting on Instagram, Singh wrote, “We are safe in Dubai guys. Working.” The short message came as concerns grew over developments in the region following new hostilities between Iran, Israel and the United States.
Due to increasing tension, many more Indian celebrities are currently in Dubai. Actors Sonal Chauhan and Esha Gupta, along with singer Amy Virk’s family members, are reported to be in the Emirates. In his recent social media updates, he thanked the local authorities for ensuring his safety and maintaining peace amid the changing situation.
This latest tension comes after several dramatic incidents in the area. Lebanon’s Hezbollah group has claimed responsibility for launching rockets and drones toward Israel. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates has appealed for restraint. Anwar Gargash, senior diplomatic adviser to President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, called on Iran to act responsibly and engage well with neighboring countries, and warned against further isolation and tensions. UAE officials also said air defense systems intercepted Iranian missiles and drones over its territory, although debris caused minor injuries to two people in Dubai.
This is not the first time Singh has spoken about security concerns while traveling abroad. In February, the rapper updated fans from Mexico amid reports of cartel violence. At the time, he had reassured fans before returning to India, writing, “Thank you guys for all your concern! I’m safe in Mexico, just coming back home #harharmahadev (sic). The situation in the Middle East is still changing, so Singh’s latest update seems to be aimed at calming speculations.
