Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ i.e. Akshay Kumar is in the news these days for his much-awaited and mega star-studded film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. The official trailer of the film was released during a grand event in Mumbai on Thursday, 11 June 2026. The entire star cast met the media at the trailer launch of this film with a cast of more than 30 actors. During this conversation, when Akshay Kumar was asked a question about his ‘retirement plans’, he gave such an answer in his familiar witty and outspoken style which left everyone present there drooling. Akshay Kumar talks about his retirement plans

When asked about his retirement plans and jokingly saying that retirement would at least give him more time for his family, Akshay Kumar replied in his usual light-hearted manner. He said, “Son, it happens, I wake up at 4 in the morning, then it happens, but after 5 seconds I remember that I have to go for shooting, 300 people are waiting for me. It comes only for 5 seconds, then I think of retirement, the next day, then the same repeats, it has been 36 years since I have been doing this. It happens with me too when I wake up at 4 in the morning, but after five seconds I remember going to shoot, and there are 300 people waiting for me; then I think about retirement tomorrow, and I’ve been doing this for 36 years.”

He further said, If I retired, I would just sit at home and maybe work as an electrician, become a dog walker, or become a gardener. I will do all the household work. I think it’s better that I go to work and not retire; This would be a better option.”

He also talked about wanting to spend time with family, saying, “I sit with them, and the next day they tell me, ‘You should go to work’.” Apart from this, the actor also shared another serious thought about life and work. He said, “I hate the word ‘retire’. It’s still better to retire five minutes before you die. I would suggest everyone to keep working.”
