Keanu Reeves victim of AI
The John Wick actor has previously expressed concerns about artificial intelligence. He also revealed that he has added a provision in his contract to protect himself from this technique. In June 2025, a video surfaced in which Keanu was seen debating AI with Elon Musk on “live TV”. Musk was yelling that Keanu wasn’t smart enough to understand the technology, while the actor was defending the cast.
In an interview with Wired, he said, “I don’t mind if someone blinks during editing. But in the beginning, in the early 2000s, or maybe the 90s, I had my exposure changed.” He added, “They brought a tear down my face, and I was just thinking, ‘Huh?’ It was like ‘I don’t need to be here.

Keanu saidThe frustrating thing about this is that you lose your agency. When you act in a movie, you know you’re going to be edited, but you’re also participating in it. If you go into the world of deepfakes, you don’t have any perspective in it. It’s scary. It will be interesting to see how humans deal with these technologies. They have great cultural and social impact, and the species is under study. There is now a wealth of ‘data’ on behaviours.
