Giving a modern and human touch to the rich cultural traditions of Kerala, Bollywood actress Disha Patani and PETA India have taken a commendable step. He has gifted a life-size mechanical elephant to Thrissur’s Thodathara Kalapattu Sri Bhadrakali Temple, which was unveiled in a grand ceremony on Saturday.
PETA India said in a statement that the mechanical elephant, which was three meters high and weighed 500 kilograms, was donated to the temple, as the temple had never taken the decision to keep or rent live elephants. It is the 20th robotic elephant donated by PETA India to temples in India and the 11th given in Kerala.
