Actress Sanchita Ugale, who was a part of popular TV shows like ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’, allegedly committed suicide on June 14. After this shocking incident, there is mourning in the actress’s family. Now on this tragic accident, Sanchita’s grandfather Gopinath has broken his silence by coming in front of the media and shared many important things.Becoming emotional, Gopinath recalled that Sanchita had made her own place in the TV industry and had no “godfather”.

Sanchita Ugale’s grandfather spoke on her death
Recalling her granddaughter’s journey, she said that Sanchita had built her career through her hard work and dedication, without any industry support. Speaking to the media, he said, “She was a very talented girl. She had progressed through her ability and hard work. She had no godfather.”

Trying to understand this tragic incident, Gopinath said that the family is unable to understand what kind of mental trouble she was going through in her last days. “What was she going through mentally at that time, what was the real problem… Because she had no quarrel with anyone. No one ever spoke bad about her. There was no lack of anything in her life. She had achieved everything with her efforts. She was a very capable girl. She had made a big name for herself in our entire taluka and Ahmednagar district.”
He also talked about the popularity Sanchita got with the role of Pooja in the TV serial ‘Saajan Ghar’. According to him, the character became so popular that many people recognized him by his screen name rather than his real name.
“People who watched her TV serials knew her as ‘Pooja’. She became so famous with that character that people in the entire Ahmednagar district used to call her Pooja. Whenever I went somewhere and told people that she was my granddaughter, all our relatives and acquaintances in the taluka and the district knew her only as ‘Pooja’. Hardly anyone recognized her as Sanchita. Everyone knew her as Pooja. Which was the name of his character in the serial.”
Expressing his grief, he said, “It is very painful. Why he did this, only God knows what was going on in his mind. It is completely beyond our understanding.” Responding to speculations that his troubles had increased due to lack of work, Gopinath dismissed the contention and said, “No, he had work too.”
