A big change is in the post-interval scene where Hamza and his childhood friend Pinda meet. When Hamza questions Pinda about selling drugs and smuggling them into India, Pinda gets angry.
In the scene, Hamza says that you are betraying your country. So Pinda says, ‘Keda country, that country which did not accept us as its own.’ Now after the uncut version, viewers came to know that this line of Pinda was changed. The original line was, ‘Keda Desh? That country which had killed its brothers with eighty-four witches. This dialogue points towards the anti-Sikh riots of 1984, in which thousands of people were killed.
