There is a big good news for the fans of Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt’s blockbuster racing film ‘F1’ released last year. The film’s veteran producer Jerry Bruckheimer has officially confirmed that a sequel to the successful film is in the pipeline. Jerry Bruckheimer broke his silence on sequel news during the annual Academy Awards luncheon. Speaking to BBC, he said clearly: We are working on a sequel. The hit racing drama F1, starring Brad Pitt and releasing in June 2025. The original film, which was co-produced by Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, received four Oscar nominations this year, including Best Picture.

Jerry Bruckheimer confirms F1 sequel

Speaking with the BBC, Bruckheimer said, “We’re working on a sequel.” This confirmation comes after months of speculation and questions from both fans and industry experts as to whether the story would continue. However, the producer declined to provide any further information about the cast or production timeline, leaving fans curious for more information.

Apple TV event gives rise to speculations

At the recent Apple TV press day, the excitement over the future of the franchise was palpable. During the event, Apple senior executive Eddie Cue answered a question from the audience about how a sequel might be made. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali responded by asking fans to “stay tuned”. This conversation further increased the growing expectations regarding the project.

Will Brad Pitt return in the F1 sequel?

Despite the official announcement, Bruckheimer did not provide any specific information about whether Brad Pitt would reprise his role. Kosinski Once Pitched Ford Vs Ferrari

Making a motorsport blockbuster with Brad Pitt has been a long road. In an earlier interview, Kosinski had revealed that he had initially pitched a version of Ford Vs Ferrari with Pitt and Tom Cruise in the lead roles. The project did not move forward due to budget constraints, and the film was eventually directed by James Mangold with Christian Bale and Matt Damon.

Brad Pitt talks about past attempt to appear in Ford Vs Ferrari.
