Actor Sunny Deol on Thursday attended a press conference to celebrate the success of his new release, Border 2. The actor thanked the audience for their continued support and talked about a strong second innings of his career.In the last three years, Deol has given good successes at the box office. Gadar 2 turned out to be a blockbuster, Jatt has consistently performed well in theatres, and Border 2 is currently doing great all over the country.

During the conversation, a journalist called him “Sunny Deol 2.0”, and acknowledged his new popularity. Responding to this, the actor said, “I don’t know where it was hidden all these years. It’s really very sweet. I just want to tell everyone this – work hard, love your profession, don’t get discouraged. Time is such a thing that you never know when it will come and go, but you should be prepared for it.”

Deol credited his success to the blessings of his late father, renowned actor Dharmendra, as well as God’s grace. He said, “It’s all my father’s grace and Waheguru’s blessings. People loved me earlier also, and they love me even today. Wherever I go, I get a lot of love.”
Border 2, which released in theaters on January 23, takes inspiration from real events that happened during the India-Pakistan war of 1971. This film shows the joint work done by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, in which Deol is once again playing the role of a military officer.
According to box office data, the film earned Rs 224.25 crore in its first week and Rs 70.15 crore in its second week. By day 17, Border 2 had a net collection of Rs 309.09 crore in India, with a domestic gross of Rs 361.94 crore.
The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, Pranab Vashistha and Medha Rana. This sequel to the 1997 war drama is produced by T-Series and Jay P Films.
