Actor Rahul Dev is struggling with his work these days. Rahul Dev’s wife Reena Dev died in 2009. After the death of his wife, Rahul Dev took a break from the industry and focused on raising his son Siddharth. Now the actor has talked about the struggle of returning back to work.
While talking to Hindi Rush, Rahul told that he was not at all prepared for the challenge of being a single parent. Rahul said, ‘If Guruji had not come into my life in 2013, things would have been even more difficult for me. I had no understanding of parenting at all. My wife died suddenly. I became a single parent of an 11-12 year old child. That phase was very challenging.

‘‘I felt scared while returning to work’
Rahul told that he was also struggling to return to work in Mumbai. Rahul told that his mentor encouraged him to come back to work. Rahul said, ‘Guru had asked me to start working. I used to feel nervous in the beginning. I didn’t know how I would manage things. Gradually things changed. My son has grown up and got a chance to study in London. Even at that time, I was scared as to how I would manage alone.

Rahul told that when he returned to the industry, he did not get work. Rahul said, ‘When I returned, I did not get work. I have done 80 to 81 films but after being alone for 4 and a half years, I felt that people no longer know me. People have forgotten me. I am not blaming anyone. Because times have changed. I don’t like to blame people. I believe that you learn from experience. It’s not like I did so much for the industry and this happened to me. The industry has also given me a lot. Leaving the industry was my choice because my situation was like that. I have no regrets.
