Bigg Boss 18, one of the most popular TV reality shows, is setting an example in saving the environment by taking eco-friendly steps. The makers of the show have decided to reduce the carbon footprint by removing plastic bottles and replacing them with steel bottles. The company behind the show has replaced around 7.5 lakh single-use plastic bottles and taken a ‘concrete step’ towards reducing waste.

Sarvesh Singh, Production Head, Bigg Boss 18, said in a statement to the media, “For us, sustainability is not just a trend – it is a responsibility. Considering the scale of our production and the size of the crew on the Bigg Boss sets, replacing 7.5 lakh single-use plastic bottles was a huge task. However, it was a necessary step towards reducing our carbon footprint and reducing plastic waste. This initiative not only sets a new benchmark for the industry, but also reflects our commitment towards eco-friendly practices in all our productions.

Meanwhile, the show saw the entry of three wildcard contestants Adin Rose, Yamini Malhotra and Aditya Mistry. Now, the current list of housemates inside the Bigg Boss house includes Karan Veer Mehra, Chahat Pandey, Vivian Dsena, Shilpa Shirodkar, Rajat Dalal, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, Shrutika Arjun, Eisha Singh, Alice Kaushik, Sara Arfeen Khan, Kashish Kapoor, Chum Darang, Avinash Mishra and Digvijay Singh Rathi.
Apart from this, Salman Khan returned to the show hosting Weekend Ka Vaar as he was busy shooting for his next film Sikandar in Hyderabad.
