Anant Joshi, who was seen in the role of Annu Bhaiya in Sony LIV’s popular web series ‘Gullak Season 5’, recently shared his experiences in a conversation with Entertainment LIVE. Anant told that he himself has been a big fan of ‘Gullak’ and when he was approached for this character, he was quite surprised. According to him, Annu Bhaiya has become not just a character but a part of the family for the audience, hence playing this role was a big responsibility for him.
Anant said that the biggest strength of ‘Gullak’ is its relatability. He believes that the story of the Mishra family seems to be the story of every middle class family in India. In this season, Annu Bhaiya steps out of his comfort zone, faces new dreams and challenges and learns many important lessons of life. According to the actor, this journey matches his own life experiences to a great extent.
During the conversation, Anant also spoke openly about his relationship with his elder brother. He said that after playing this character, he got a chance to understand the responsibilities and struggles of his elder brother in a better way. According to him, in the relationship between brothers and sisters, love is not always visible in direct words, but its depth is visible in every small and big thing.
Anant Joshi also praised the entire team of the show and said that the atmosphere of ‘Gullak’ is exactly like a family. He told that there is no insecurity or politics on the set, rather all the actors work together to make the story better. The actor hopes that the audience will love the new Annu Bhaiya as much as they have loved the character in the previous seasons.
