A big warning has come out for the artists who dream of entering the entertainment world. Famous producer Ekta Kapoor’s company Balaji Telefilms has issued an official statement warning about those fraudulent people and social media accounts who are spreading the web of ‘Fake Casting’ by misusing the company’s name. In this statement issued on Friday, February 27, an appeal has been made to the actors and directors to check the authenticity of any casting notice before trusting it.

The company stressed that it is not associated with these unauthorized entities and expressed concern over the growing number of scams targeting newcomers hoping to break into the entertainment industry.
The statement specifically talked about the increase in wrong casting calls for upcoming TV serials, web series and films. It read, “To anyone who may be concerned, Balaji Telefilms Limited issues this formal clarification to inform the general public that several unauthorized persons and fraudulent social media accounts are currently misusing our corporate identity to publish false casting opportunities for our upcoming TV serials, web series and motion pictures. We completely disassociate ourselves from these various entities and such fraudulent We strongly condemn any attempt to take advantage of the wishes of emerging actors and directors in any manner.”

The company stressed that it strictly manages all the proper casting processes through verified channels and official casting directors. The company said money should never be asked for or offered as part of the audition process. The directive comes in response to the rise in online scams, where people are asked to pay in the name of registration fees or audition charges.
The statement from the production house further clarified, “Please note that Balaji Telefilms never asks for registration fees, audition charges or any money deposit, nor do we ever issue formal agreements without a prior in-person meeting at our official location.”
“All genuine recruitment and casting for our projects is done only through our verified channels and official casting directors; therefore, we request people to exercise extreme caution, verify all credentials, and avoid sharing personal data or funds with any unverified representatives claiming to work on our behalf,” the statement concluded.
Currently, Balaji Telefilms is continuing its regular work with the ongoing television projects, but the production house has not made any new announcements.
