In ‘Awaragi’, Anil Kapoor’s character was that of a dangerous gangster, who goes against his principles and saves Meenakshi Sheshadri from a brothel. The film becomes a love triangle, as Govinda also loves Meenakshi. The actor’s character in this film was liked the most, because Anil Kapoor, who did comedy and romance on screen, was seen by the audience for the first time in the negative role of a dangerous gangster. The scene of the film ‘Welcome’ is also similar. The actor has played a gangster in the film, but his character has a touch of comedy.
