The real-life, exciting and historical Tunnel Rescue Operation that took place in Silkyara, Uttarakhand, will now be brought to life on the big screen. ‘Aamir Khan Productions’ in collaboration with Kabir Khan Films and Australia’s prestigious ‘Mind Blowing Films’ has officially announced their next mega-budget film ‘Silkyara 41’. This film is going to be a very important co-production (shared project) in the cinematic history between India and Australia.

What is the story of ‘Silkayara 41’?
This story will be based on the operation in which 41 workers trapped inside the tunnel were rescued. Additionally, it will also feature the role of internationally renowned tunneling expert Arnold Dix, whose expertise proved vital during this mission. Directed by Kabir Khan and written by Australian screenwriter Andrew Anastasios, ‘Silkyara 41’ is a major collaboration between India and Australia. The project brings together filmmakers and production teams from both countries to tell a story based on courage, teamwork and strength.
