Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal is in the news these days. Recently, he claimed in an interview that the story and idea of the film ‘Oh My God 2’ was his, but he was not given credit for it. Now the film’s co-producer Ashwin Warde has openly expressed his views on this matter and has called Paresh’s claims wrong.
The producer told how the story of the film began
Ashwin Warde told that the story of this film was first narrated to him by director Amit Rai. As soon as he heard the story, he felt like ‘Oh my God’. Then Amit had told that it was Paresh who had asked him to write such a story. Ashwin knew that the rights of ‘Oh My God’ were with Akshay Kumar, so work on it could not be done without Akshay’s approval. According to Ashwin, he later understood that Paresh Rawal wanted to make a film like ‘Oh My God’ with a different name, which was not the right way.

Big revelation made about Salman and Ajay Devgan
Paresh had also said in his interview that he had earlier talked to Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan for the role of Akshay Kumar. Responding to this, Ashwin Warde said that Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan had also told Paresh Rawal that this is Akshay Kumar’s film, so approval should be taken from him first or no further work should be done on it. After this Ashwin’s company bought the rights of this script. Even today this script is registered only in the name of Amit Rai.

It is completely wrong for Paresh Rawal to ask for credit.
Ashwin Warde clearly said that it is completely wrong for Paresh to assert his rights on the story of the film. He said that we had many meetings, but Paresh never said that the story was his, because it was not true. Ashwin finally said that we did not cheat Paresh Rawal, we just stopped him from doing a wrong thing.
