A big good news has come for the fans of Akshay Kumar. After hitting the theatres, Khiladi Kumar’s much-awaited horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is now all set for release on the OTT platform. Directed by veteran director Priyadarshan, the film is going to stream on Netflix from Friday, June 12, 2026. In such a situation, the viewers who had lost the chance to watch this film on the big screen, will now be able to watch it online sitting at home.
Netflix India shared a funny poster
On Thursday, Netflix India announced its OTT release date by sharing a fun poster of the film on its official social media handle. Netflix wrote in the caption:
“Scare everyone by speaking loudly, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ will be entering soon. Watch ‘Bhoot Bangla’ on 12th June on Netflix.”
This film is the perfect opportunity to see the cult reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, for which fans were eagerly waiting for the last 15 years.

What is the story of ‘Bhoot Bungalow’?
In the film, Akshay Kumar has played the character of a man named ‘Arjun’ who lives in London. His life takes a dramatic turn when he inherits an old ancestral palace in the village of ‘Mangalpur’ in India after the death of his mother.
The Creepy Curse of the Palace: When Arjun arrives at the palace with his family to plan a wedding, he comes to know about an evil spirit named ‘Vadhusur’ there. According to local folklore, this spirit preys only on newly-wed brides and the entire village has been living under the shadow of this curse for generations.
Double dose of horror and comedy: After this Arjun faces supernatural powers. The film is a perfect blend of hilarious misunderstandings, scary moments and heart-touching family drama in Priyadarshan’s signature style.
