There have been films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Gunday’, which have done business of more than Rs 100 crore. ‘Piku’ proved to be his biggest domestic hit, collecting Rs 141 crore ($23 million) at the box office.

However, if we talk about Irrfan Khan’s career, he started acting in 1987 with the TV show ‘Srikanth’. He also did small roles in films. He received a lot of praise for his small roles in ‘Salaam Bombay’ and ‘Ek Doctor Ki Maut’. He got his first big break in films in 2003 from Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film ‘Haasil’. After this he was seen in films like ‘Maqbool’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘Billu’, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Haider’.
