The actor who became famous as a devotee of Ram in every household by playing the role of Vibhishan in Ramayana is no longer in this world. Let us tell you that the role of Vibhishan in the show was played by none other than Mukesh Rawal. Mukesh Rawal was crossing the railway tracks and going to the other side when he was hit by the train.
According to the report, the police found his body at 9:33 am. But, his family members were able to identify him the next day. Mukesh Rawal’s body was found on the tracks between Borivali and Kandivali railway stations. Mukesh Rawal had also worked a lot in theatre, he was a well-known theater artist.
He worked in many plays in his career. But, Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana changed his fate. According to the report, after seeing Mukesh Rawal performing on stage, Ramanand Sagar had decided that he would cast him in the character of Vibhishan.
However, according to the report, Mukesh Rawal wanted to play the role of Meghnad and not Vibhishan in Ramayana. But Ramanand Sagar auditioned him for both Meghnad and Vibhishan and later confirmed him for Vibhishan only. This decision of Ramanand Sagar proved to be quite right. Mukesh Rawal was very much liked in the character of Vibhishan. He had given his entire life in playing this character. This is the reason why even today people remember him in the role of Vibhishan.
