Mumbai. Tarun Khanna has played the character of Lord Shiva so many times that now this role has completely changed him as a person. Tarun Khanna told that he has played the role of Mahadev more than 400 times and this experience brought amazing changes in his life. This not only increased his patience but also brought back his suppressed humility. Tarun Khanna has played the character of Mahadev in many mythological shows like ‘Karma Phal Data Shani’, ‘Radha Krishna’, ‘Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki’, ‘Devi Adi Parashakti’, ‘Santoshi Maa’ and ‘Param Avatar Shri Krishna’. Apart from this, he has also played the role of Mahadev in the Telugu film ‘Akhanda 2’ and recently in the theater play ‘Hamare Ram’.
Tarun Khanna said, “I have played the character of Mahadev more than 440 times on stage. This character has changed me as a person. My patience level has increased a lot and the humility that was buried somewhere has come back. The experience is getting better with every new opportunity. I am thankful that being an actor, I am able to touch the hearts of so many people.”
Tarun Khanna told that shows of the play ‘Hamara Ram’ are held every weekend, sometimes even twice a week. He said, “Once the show starts, there is no time left for preparation. I am the first person to go on the stage and do the entire Shiv Tandav in one go. If there are two shows, I do the Tandav twice a day, sometimes it can be more than 5-6 times.”
