In Indian cinema, actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (N.T. Rama Rao) made a special place in the hearts of people with his brilliant acting, powerful voice and mythological characters. The journey started from a small village
NTR was born on 28 May 1923 in Nimmakaru, a small village in Andhra Pradesh. His family was associated with farming. He saw a lot of struggle in his childhood. Along with studies, he also helped the family. While studying in Vijayawada, he also used to work as a milk seller. After completing his studies, he got a government job, but he wanted to do acting. Therefore, he left the job within a few weeks and entered the world of films.
How did you get a new identity in films?
He started his acting career in the year 1949 with the film ‘Mana Desam’. Initially he played many types of characters, but gradually mythological films gave him a new identity. NTR played the role of Lord Krishna 17 times in his career. Apart from this, he also played the roles of Lord Ram, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

When he appeared on screen as Lord Krishna, the audience was mesmerized. People liked his smile, style of speaking and glow on his face very much. NTR did not only work in mythological films but also in social and action films. His film ‘Patal Bhairavi’ is considered special in the history of Indian cinema.
